Point S, the world’s largest multi-brand automotive services and tyre sales franchise, has renewed its sponsorship deal with prestigious Belgian football club, Standard de Liège, in an agreement signed by Point S Belux, the Benelux arm of Point S’s global network.
As part of the deal, the eye-catching Point S branding will be displayed on pitch-side advertising boards around the Maurice Dufrasne Stadium during the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons, as it has been throughout the 2023/24 season.
Point S’s renewed sponsorship of the ten-time Belgian champions comes as the club celebrates its 125th anniversary. This season, the men’s first team has been fighting to secure qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League for the 2024/25 season and the opportunity to host some of Europe’s elite clubs at the Maurice Dufrasne Stadium.
Point S BELUX Managing Director, Gerard Mouart, said: “Standard de Liège is a club steeped in history and tradition, and in its 125th anniversary year, we are honoured to once again partner with the club to showcase our shared values of passion and commitment. It is a pleasure to have joined forces with our partners, Continental, Uniroyal, Vredestein Tyres, and Apollo Tyres, to make this sponsorship a reality.
“We wish Standard de Liège the very best as the club works towards achieving its goals for the rest of this season and beyond.”
Point S’s sponsorship of Standard de Liège continues its long association with sports teams and events. Having recently partnered with Serie A to showcase its famous logo across Italian stadiums, the global network has also partnered with the International Handball Federation and the European Handball Federation to sponsor the Women’s World Handball Championship and the Women’s European Handball Championship, respectively.
